Instructions: Follow these steps to apply for WOIA Georgia funded training. 

STEP 1: Determine if you are applying as an Adult or Dislocated Worker.

Adult

18 years or older
Unemployed or underemployed
6 months of income less than $
OR
Receiving SNAP or TANF

Dislocated Worker

Terminated from your job at no fault of your own OR laid off in the last 6 months
                                       OR
Eligible or used up your unemployment insurance in the last 6 months

STEP 2: Fill out the following forms. Click the links below to go to the required form. 

Adult

If you are applying as an adult, then fill out : 
  1.  Adult Eligibility Checklist. 
  2. WIOA Eligibility Application
  3. Read, fill out, and sign the Grievance and Complaint policy based on where you live: ​
  • ​Atlanta Regional (Cherokee, Clayton, Douglas, Fayette, Gwinnett, Henry, Rockdale)
  • City of Atlanta                             
  • Cobb
  • Dekalb                             
  • Fulton​​​​

​Dislocated Worker

If you are applying as a dislocated worker, then fill out: 
  1. Dislocated Worker Eligibility Checklist. 
  2. WIOA Eligibility Application
  3. Read, fill out, and sign the Grievance and Complaint policy based on where you live: ​​
  • Atlanta Regional (Cherokee, Clayton, Douglas, Fayette, Gwinnett, Henry, Rockdale)
  • City of Atlanta                             
  • Cobb
  • Dekalb                             
  • Fulton

STEP 3: Gather required documents and make photos or scans that you can upload online. 

 ​Use either one document from List 1 OR two documents from List 2 

List 1: Documents 

Choose 1 
  • U.S. passport
  • Unexpired foreign passport with I-551 stamp
  • Permanent Resident Alien Card (Green card)
  • Unexpired Employment Authorization Card

List 2: Documents

Choose 2
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Birth Certificate
  • Social Security Card
  • State ID
  • U.S. Military ID
  • Native American Tribal Document

STEP 4: Register for the WorkSource Georgia Portal and submit documents.

  1. Click this link to register for the WorkSource Georgia Portal.
  2. Once you register, upload the forms and documents from steps 2 and 3. ​

  4. Let WorkSource Georgia know that you have uploaded your completed application. ​
Confirm your application with WorkSource Georgia
     5. If you reside in Cherokee, Clayton, Douglas, Fayette, Gwinnett, Henry, or Rockdale County, download 
         WIOA guide for next steps.

     6. An eligibility specialist will review your application and determine your eligibility.
         If you are found eligible, they will send an acceptance letter to the ECR of Georgia.

STEP 5: Come to ECR of Georgia to receive your acceptance letter and further information.
